Installation neo arte povera neo rococo with rescue blankets /emergency blankets.

« Rococo-style ornaments – gloss, sequins, luxury. But the material seems familiar; almost all of us have held these silver and gold sheets in our hands at one time. These cheap emergency blankets – which protect the wearer from the effects of heat loss and wetness – form an integral part of every first aid kit and are used in every crisis area of the world. They’re also the « raw material » that Cécile Wesolowski uses to build her Glorious ornaments, which simultaneously conjure the illusion of Potsdam rococo and – through the choice of material – provide a subtle allusion to crisis situations of our time. »
